Charley Hull delivered a dominant performance at the Solheim Cup, defeating World No. 1 Nelly Korda 6 and 4 in Sunday’s opening singles match at Robert Trent Jones Golf Club. Hull’s win marked Europe’s first point of the day.

The match was tied through five holes before Hull took control, winning holes six and seven with pars. She extended her lead with three birdies and sealed the victory with a near-eagle on the 14th, ending the match decisively.

Hull credited her strong play to the pressure of big events, saying she thrives in challenging conditions. Despite the loss, Korda had earlier won all three of her partner matches, contributing significantly to Team USA’s lead.
