Emma Raducanu faced a disappointing first-round exit at Indian Wells 2025, losing 6-3, 6-2 to Japan’s Moyuka Uchijima on March 6. The defeat hampers Raducanu’s hopes of re-entering the WTA top 50, marking another early tournament exit this season.

This match marked Raducanu’s emotional return to the WTA Tour following a distressing stalking incident. The British star previously broke down in tears during the Dubai Open after spotting her stalker in the stands. Since then, she has struggled to find her form on the court.

Raducanu has now suffered consecutive first-round exits in Singapore, Abu Dhabi, and Qatar. Her performances indicate ongoing challenges, both mentally and physically, as she aims to regain the level that made her the 2021 US Open champion.

Despite the setbacks, Raducanu remains determined to rebuild her career. With upcoming tournaments on the WTA calendar, she will seek to overcome recent struggles and regain her confidence, hoping for a stronger showing in future competitions.
