Alexis Ohanian, co-founder of Reddit and husband of tennis legend Serena Williams, is advocating for the inclusion of women’s golf in the TGL. As the owner of Los Angeles Golf Club (LAGC), he holds the right of first refusal for an L.A. women’s team and views stars like Nelly Korda as essential to its success. His investment in the league was contingent on ensuring women’s participation, demonstrating his commitment to advancing female athletes in professional sports.

In a recent conversation with *Front Office Sports*, Ohanian reiterated his dedication to integrating the LPGA Tour into TGL. He emphasized the untapped potential of women’s golf, pointing to top players like Korda, Rose Zhang, and Charley Hull as key figures who could elevate the sport’s visibility. A passionate investor in women’s athletics—including soccer, basketball, and track—he believes female athletes have a unique ability to engage audiences through storytelling and social media.

While Ohanian strongly favors a dedicated women’s league, he remains open to a mixed-format transition. He confirmed that his contract secures his priority for a women’s team in Los Angeles, aligning with his long-term vision for gender equity in golf. As LAGC leads the inaugural TGL season, his broader goal remains clear: fostering greater opportunities for women in professional sports while reshaping the landscape golf.
