Emma Raducanu and Katie Boulter have learned their opponents for the upcoming Miami Open. Raducanu faces 19-year-old qualifier Sayaka Ishii in the first round, while Boulter will take on American Peyton Stearns. Both British players aim to make a deep run in the prestigious WTA 1000 tournament, hoping to follow in the footsteps of Johanna Konta, who won the title in 2017.

If Raducanu advances, she could face eighth-seed Emma Navarro in the second round and potentially meet Jessica Pegula in the round of 16. Meanwhile, Boulter may have a challenging path ahead, with Elise Mertens standing between her and a potential third-round clash with world No. 2 Iga Swiatek. Despite tough competition, both players will be eager to improve upon their recent performances after disappointing exits at Indian Wells.

Raducanu, currently ranked 60th, continues her comeback after injuries sidelined her in 2023. A strong showing in Miami could help her break back into the top 50 as she seeks to reclaim her best form. Boulter, on the other hand, will be looking to build on her fourth-round finish last year. With top-seeded contenders like Aryna Sabalenka and Coco Gauff also in the mix, the Miami Open promises to be a thrilling contest.
