With six months remaining until the Ryder Cup, 2002 PGA Champion Rich Beem has made a bold prediction: Justin Thomas has already locked in his place on Team USA. Despite not being in the top 20 at TPC Sawgrass, Beem believes Thomas’ performance at The Players Championship has cemented his spot, thanks to his resilience and elite skill set.

While the tournament remains highly competitive, with contenders like Will Zalatoris and Collin Morikawa battling for the title, Beem is convinced Thomas has done enough to impress team captain Keegan Bradley. His comeback at Sawgrass—bouncing back from an opening-round 78 with a record-tying 62—exemplifies the grit and determination necessary for Ryder Cup success.

Currently ranked 11th in Ryder Cup standings, Thomas remains outside the automatic qualification spots. However, Beem argues that his experience and consistent performance make his selection inevitable. Having played in the last three Ryder Cups, the 31-year-old is a proven asset, and Bradley is unlikely to overlook a player of his caliber when finalizing Team USA’s roster.
