Lindsey Vonn is Hospitalised following Switzerland Crash

Lindsey Vonn, an American ski star was flown to the hospital in a helicopter when she crashed in a World cup downhill race in Crans-Montana, Switzerland. The race was abandoned later on because of deteriorating weather and safety issues.

Olympic Uncertainty over Knee Injury.

Vonn had gone out of control when she made a jump, collided with safety netting to injure her left knee. She also expressed her Olympic ambitions on social media even when she was in obvious pain and said that she is not giving up.

Physicians Evaluate Wounding prior to Winter Games.

The 41-year-old affirmed that she is taking medical tests with her doctors and staff. Vonn said it was a challenging time, but she believed she could heal in time, because the Winter Olympics start next week.

Vonn, who is an Olympic champion of 2010, went back to elite skiing last season after several years off in case of injury. She became the oldest downhill World Cup female winner in St Moritz in December.
