Matildas coach Joe Montemurro and vice-captain Ellie Carpenter praised Sam Kerr’s impact after she rejoined the team in a non-playing role ahead of their four-game series in Western Australia.
Kerr, currently recovering from injury, will take part in individual sessions and light team activities as part of her return-to-play program, working alongside Football Australia’s performance staff.

While Kerr won’t feature in matches, her presence has lifted team morale.
Montemurro emphasized her leadership and energy, while Carpenter welcomed her return, calling her a vital influence on and off the pitch.
