Two-time Olympic champion Mikaela Shiffrin received an honorary doctorate from Dartmouth College on 15 June 2025. Marking the occasion, she shared a heartfelt message to her late father, Jeff Shiffrin, who also had ties to Dartmouth.

In her tribute, Shiffrin expressed deep gratitude and reflected on feeling closer to her father, an anesthesiologist and former Dartmouth skier, who passed away in 2020. Her message resonated especially on Father’s Day, making the honor even more meaningful.

Now 30, Shiffrin has returned to competitive skiing after injury, reaching 101 World Cup wins. Looking ahead to Milano Cortina 2026, she plans to compete in up to 16 technical races as she aims for another Olympic gold.
