Nelly Korda Confirms Title Defense at 2025 Mizuho Americas Open

World No. 1 Nelly Korda has officially confirmed her participation in the 2025 Mizuho Americas Open at Liberty National in May. The tournament’s organizers announced the news via Instagram, sharing highlights from Korda’s 2024 victory. This marks her return as the defending champion after securing the title as part of her dominant seven-win season last year.

The 2025 Mizuho Americas Open will take place from May 8 to 11. In the previous edition, Korda edged out Hannah Green by one stroke to claim her sixth title of the season. Despite a strong start to 2025, including a runner-up finish at the HGV Tournament of Champions, Korda has yet to secure a victory this year. She was last seen at the Founders Cup, finishing T7 with a 12-under score.

Korda has been carefully managing her schedule after sustaining a neck injury late last season. She opted out of the LPGA Tour’s Asian swing to prioritize her health, emphasizing that staying injury-free is her top goal for 2025. With major championships in sight, Korda has strategically planned her season, focusing on peak performance while ensuring her body remains in top condition. Her next appearance will be at the Ford Championship later this month.
