Construction has commenced on Stage 2 of the Sam Kerr Football Centre in Queens Park, marking a \$4 million expansion led by the State Government. This phase includes two new natural turf pitches, lighting, shade structures, fencing, and landscaping to enhance the \$50.9 million facility.

Football participation in Western Australia is surging, with a 34% rise in female players. Premier Roger Cook highlighted the expansion as vital to supporting both community and elite football levels, reflecting the government’s commitment to world-class sporting infrastructure across the state.

Since opening in 2023, the centre has hosted major events and served as a training base during the FIFA Women’s World Cup. The upgrades will boost grassroots access and high-performance training, inspiring future players while fostering community engagement through sport.
