Four-time Olympian Lindsey Vonn will compete in the final European stop of her comeback season as the 2024/25 FIS Alpine Ski World Cup continues this week in La Thuile, Italy. The Vancouver 2010 gold medalist last raced at the Val d’Aosta resort in 2016, securing two podium finishes despite a crash in the opening downhill event.

Initially uncertain about participating, the 40-year-old made a last-minute decision to race after attending sponsor events in Paris during Fashion Week. Following the cancellation of training runs, she is set to compete in two super-G races on March 13 and 14, with one replacing the postponed event from St. Moritz.

Vonn, who finished 16th in both the downhill and super-G in Kvitfjell, currently ranks 19th in downhill and 17th in super-G. With the top 25 skiers in each discipline qualifying for the Finals in Sun Valley, Idaho (March 20-27), these races in La Thuile are crucial for her standings. Fans can watch the action live on Eurosport, Discovery+, and skiandsnowboard.live.
