Defending Wimbledon champion Barbora Krejčíková has praised this year’s Eastbourne tournament, describing it as “even better than last year” despite its downgrade to WTA 250 status. She’s competing at Devonshire Park for a third time.

Krejčíková said she enjoys the relaxed atmosphere, seaside setting, and walkable location. “The hospitality feels even better,” she added. “It’s not a huge city, which I like—and the nature and older population make it feel peaceful.”

Seeded second, Krejčíková ended her Eastbourne losing streak with a dramatic win over Harriet Dart, saving two match points. She now faces fellow Brit Jodie Burrage in the last 16, braving the notoriously windy conditions.
